Honoring James Keli'ipio Kahea Mawae of Molokai
SLACK KEY DAYS FESTIVAL 2018
An opportunity of a lifetime is in store for the participants and audiences at this year's Slack Key Days Festival. We are honoring James Keli'ipio Kahea Mawae of Molokai. 82 years young this year and as throughout his life he is dedicated to perpetuating the family music tradition of Hawaiian slack key music and living Aloha. He is a living treasure of the islands through his work to care for fishing grounds, the land, the people of Molokai, and slack key.
